Distribution Research #1

Traditionally, magazines are distributed to the public in various ways. Each magazine has their own publisher depending on magazine type. Once the magazine is put together it needs to be printed and distributed so the consumers can get it. There are many distribution services that these magazines use to get their product out to their projected target audience.

Target Audience Research #3

Image
My magazine's target audience is roughly ages 16 to 55. I will target mainly males, but include some female sports and female athletes. The magazine will be available to everyone, and be handed out at schools around the area. It will be a fairly easy to read magazine, and will include some longer articles.      ESPN Fantasy Football is the third magazine I researched. This magazine reviews the best players, which I plan to emulate in my magazine with players around the area. They market their product by having commercials on ESPN and being mentioned on Sports Center. They also have a huge following and fanbase for Fantasy Football, so people want to have knowledge of who to draft. Various media methods are used such as print, tv, radio, and digital. I will incorporate these methods into my magazine, and try to get people from around the area to advertise it as well.

Although their target audience could be a little older, mine still compares in various ways. They market their product by having commercials on NBC and CBS. They have famous golfers and personnel on commercials partnering up with brands with endorsements. Various media methods are  used such as print, tv, radio, and digital. It will be a fairly easy to read magazine, and will include some longer articles.      Sports Illustrated is the first magazine I researched, because it compares to my magazine very well. We share almost the exact same target audience, and cover similar stories, but obviously mine are not as global. They market their product by having various social media accounts on many platforms such as Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter. They also have commercials that they plug on stations such as ESPN, and have the anchors on shows such as Sportscenter advertise it as well. They have famous athletes and personnel on the show advertising their product, to try and persuade more people to subscribe to their monthly plan. So, various media metho...

Super Bowl Commercial Analysis

1.    Product: NFL    Advertising Technique: Used humor to get people interested.    Target Audience: Potentially high 30's to understand Dirty Dancing reference, but the Odell                 Beckham Jr. plug could attract teens. (16-55) *I could use the humor aspect of this ad, as it relates to my magazine being sports related also. 2.    Product: The Winter Olympics    Advertising Technique: Emotional Appeal (Inspiring)    Target Audience: Could be females to take advantage of audience watching the Super Bowl to             watch Olympics also. (Females) *I could incorporate an inspirational story in my magazine such as a kid getting hurt and coming back next season, or something to get a female audience interested as well.  3.    Product: Travel to Australia    Advertising Technique: Hu...
